Jason & Emily Hundley

Melanie Kerley

Children's Director

My husband Tom and I have been married 22 years and have two precious children. Mallory is seven years old and Toby is four. Since becoming a mother I have had the privilege of staying home to focus on family and ministry. Prior to becoming a mom, I taught middle school math and science. I know God called me to teach and I am thrilled to be using my gifts in homeschooling my children and with our children at Center Faith. I received my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. Tom and I were married during our senior year of college. My teaching experience includes one year as lead teacher for a four year old preschool class, a year in second grade and twelve years in middle school. I have also taught all ages of children in Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, midweek church programs and Bible Study Fellowship. It is such a joy to see children learning God’s word especially as they begin to personally apply it to their own lives. Jesus welcomed the little children and we are serving Him as we welcome them too.

Chris Kelton

Youth Pastor

I have been married to my amazing wife for 7 years and we have two beautiful daughters, Abby and Macy. We both work for our family business, Video Security Systems. Working with family can be a challenge but has also been such a blessing to us. It has allowed us to be involved within our church and within the youth ministry. We have been involved with youth ministries for many years. Through my own experiences and calling from God, I feel this generation is in desperate need of Christ more now than ever before. My favorite person in the bible would have to be the Apostle Paul. His extreme and radical life inspires me. My favorite bible verse is 1 Corinthians 9:19 “though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.”

Although my life has had many ups and downs, God has always seen me through everything. I feel God has called me into this ministry to do great things. These kids have become my family and I am so excited to see where God takes us.

Lisa Beets

Secretary

Along with being Center Faith Church's Secretary, my husband Larry and I have been involved in Youth ministry for more than 15 years. It is a blessing to minister to our Youth. We are humbled by the fact that parents completely trust us with their teens when we are off-site at youth events. I am also the Hospitality Coordinator making sure you have coffee, juice, and snacks during Fellowship time before Sunday Morning Worship Service. I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of 26. My favorite verse is Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God"

It is not always easy to know what God's will is for your life. That is why Bible Study, Prayer, and fellowship with other Christians are important.

Carolyn Hathcock

Financial Secretary

My husband Randy and I have been married 28 years and are blessed with a wonderful daughter, Christy and son-in-law, Alex. My career background includes 10 years in banking and currently 25 years in insurance as a Personal Lines Account Manager with TIS Insurance Services Inc. Prior to Center Faith, God blessed me with 15 wonderful years of working with Youth and Children and being involved in church finances after surrendering to Him in 1997. The main lesson I learned from those years is to follow God’s will by faith and to not give up when you know your following His path. In 2001 I stepped out in faith and God took me to Belize on a wonderful mission trip where many souls were saved. Then 10 years later I stepped out in faith again and God brought me to Center Faith. I’m excited about this new path and I can’t wait to see where God is taking us. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful group of Christians to work and worship with, here at Center Faith. My favorites verses are Hebrews 12:1-2 and John 16:33, so let us “keep our eyes fixed on Jesus” and “know there is peace in Him” Always remember God does not call the equipped but He equips the called and He loves you!

Duane Counts

Missions Coordinator

Duane Counts is a Lenoir City native and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the age of 11 while worshipping at Calvary Baptist. After receiving his BS in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Emory University, Duane spent 25 years in corporate finance. Following a severe heart attack and stroke in 2007 from which the Lord graciously spared his life, Duane began devoting himself to ministering to the people of Chincha, Peru. He makes several trips each year working through local pastors in Chincha to spread the Gospel and raise funds for churches, a refuge for abused women, and a local orphanage. Duane’s mission focus has recently expanded to include coordinating mission projects for Center Faith. Duane and his wife Amy are the parents of Jessica (Mrs. Brad) Hodges, Jessica Counts, Kim Counts and Thomas Cooper.

Tom Kerley and his wife, Melanie, are both graduates of The University of Tennessee. Yes, he is a Vol fan although his favorite sport is Hockey. Go Predators! Through the miracle of adoption, God has blessed them with two beautiful children, a daughter named Mallory and son Toby. They enjoy disc golf, Knoxville Ice Bears games, and motorcycle rides. Tom is shipping manager at Amerilam Supply Group, a company that sells printing and binding supplies. Melanie is a stay at home mom and is home schooling Mallory. Tom has enjoyed playing guitar since he was a teenager. Then fifteen years ago, God put it on his heart to use his passion for music to lead others in authentic worship of our Sovereign God and Loving Lord. His favorite scripture verse is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” He especially enjoys the book of Psalms.
